Welcome to the Junior Beach Pages!

The SWJBT summer is over, although the extended summer has allowed those die hard beach players some more quality time on the sand, most of you are now headed indoor for a winter of hard floor.

Thanks to all the junior players who took part in the first full South West Junior Beach Tour, without you we wouldn’t be running it and because of you we are inspired to do the same thing over again next year.

The SWJBT for 2010 aims to have the same events as last year on or around roughly the same dates - tide dependent in some cases - with more people playing and making the tour much more competitive.

Congratulations to all of our Windfest winners from the finals in Sandbanks. There were some great competitive matches and everyone played loads of volleyball as we ran a double elimination competition at the end of our pool rounds in the U18/U16 and U14 events. The feedback was really positive so look out for more of the same next year.

In total 28 U12 teams, 28 U14 teams, 55 U16 Boys, 43 U16 Girls, 41 U18 Boys and 30 U18 Girls took part in junior beach volleyball events all over the South West. Thanks again and again to all the organisers; your efforts are priceless so please keep coming back to do more.
