Countrymen Volleyball Club again ran their charity Pairs on Perranporth Beach on Sat. 2nd June. The charities being funded are SSAFA Forces Help and Cornwall Hospice. Money raised so far just over £1k.
The winners and therefore Cornwall Champions were Michal Muraczyk and James Mosley The mens plate Andy Gluyas and Toni Opie Ladies winners Phillipa Sheldon and partner. The youth winners were James and Rewan of St. Ives School.
The Over 50’s winners Nigel Bates and Keith Barnet The over 60’s again won by James Gilbert and Alan Conquest The cover-ted spirit of the games went to the St. Ives School pair James and Rowan.
With very high winds the standard of play was vey high making the beach volleyball again a success. The only blight was the fact that the organiser for the past 10 years was retiring we look for some one else to take up the challenge
