Inter Regional Beach Training & Selection 2023

This years Inter Regional Beach Championships (U18) takes place at the Cardiff Beach Centre over the this weekend of the 8-9th July, and the All Nations Beach Championships (U19) takes place over the weekend of the 29-30th July.

As a region we did extramly well last year, picking up most of the Silver medals on offer, plus the team prize in the All Nations, this years we are aiming for the top prize in all competitions.

U18 Inter-Regional Beach Championships 8-9th July (players must be 17 or younger on 31/12/23)

The SWVA will be competing against the other VE Regions, following our success last year, we have been allocated two team places for the Girls event. That’s four pairs, so we will be selecting 8 girls for this event, the boys have one team, that’s four players, two pairs.

U19 All Nations Beach Championships 29/30th July (players must be 18 or younger on 31/12/23)

Last year we won the team prize, beating Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, it’s a slightly older age group, so we can welcome back players from last year’s IRB / IRC.

Training / Selection

As there is not much time, we will be only holding one or two player selection events, with the first at the Cardiff Beach Centre on the 10th June for the Boys and the 17th June for the Girls (11am to 3pm). We are aiming for a second session at Weymouth over the weekend of the 1st or 2nd of July (TBC), on alternate days to the Sandbank events.
