Come and join PMVC and its merry band of Pirates on a special South West Volleyball Championships exclusive social event as it coincides with one of Plymouths most popular themed weekends – The Plymouth Pirate Weekend!
The Saturday night of the SW Champs is often a chance to refuel and un wind after a hard days play on the court but this year we wanted to make it memorable with a pirate themed booze cruise.
The cruise will be a 2 hour cruise up the Tamar as you look for a good place to bury yer booty and avoid walking the plank! The Spirit of Plymouth is a licensed leisure craft run by Plymouth Boat Trips that will be “piratiefied” and ready to take to the waves of Plymouth Sound with an open top deck, a licensed bar and dancefloor area for those who can dance with a wooden leg.
Fancy dress is optional but we will have a prize for the best dressed Pirate. The Booze cruise is strictly for over 18s only.
The boat will leave at 8pm on Saturday 11th May and boarding is from 7.45pm which should allow plenty of time after the last games at the YMCA Kitto centre. We will also be giving out eyepatches and will have shots of rum to get you started on the Mayflower Steps from 7.30pm (one eyepatch and one shot of rum per ticket).
Whilst bringing you’re own grog isn’t allowed, you are allowed to bring youre own food on board if you want to save time for more merrymaking before or after the cruise.
When the boat arrives back at the Mayflower Steps at 10pm, we’re sure you will all have more Pirate themed mischief as you all take to the Barbican to continue the good times with youre volleyball brethren!
Tickets are £10 per person/ pirate and when you reserve youre ticket on Eventbrite, you will be sent our bank details to transfer the money and confirm youre place on the boat.
