The background to the meeting is that at the SWVA Annual General Meeting nobody was elected as Junior Development Officer, which means that there is nobody organising junior tournaments. On 14 June at 19:30 there will be a meeting to discuss junior tournaments.
The agenda for the meeting is:
1. Introductions
2. Bristol outdoor tournament
3. Other outdoor tournaments
4. Indoor JuVoTo tournaments next season
5. Inter-Regional squads
The background to the first item is that Tim Clifford was already considering organising a tournament in Bristol for juniors on either 10 or 11 July in the BS4 postcode area. Tim is hoping to have competitions for as many age groups as possible but given the short notice we need to understand how many teams might take part. Even if a club does not have enough players for a team we can hopefully put together combined teams as well.
With regard to next season’s JuVoTo we are going to need clubs to volunteer to organise an event. My personal view is that we should aim to have an event in each county. It would be helpful to understand which clubs feel they could organise an event.
