National Child Protection Guideline Framework
Janet Inman gave an update on the new national policies. The previous multiple CRB checks and certificates will now be unnecessary.
A single Vetting and Barring Check (replacing the CRB check) will be required. Checks are required only for Regulated Activities, not all activities will require a vetting and barring check. (Google for “Regulated Activities” to find out more.)
There will only be one copy of the certificate; it will no longer go to the employing organisation, only to the candidate.
