Three quarters of respondents to a survey by the Sport and Recreation Alliance believed the government was not helping enough to fund grassroots sport clubs.Volleyball coach David Rijvers said: “Funding within schools has been cut, facilities are very very poor to support community clubs and the cost of facilities within London is very very expensive.” The government says it will invest £1bn in the next five years to link schools with sport clubs.
