The next session of this season’s inter-regional training is on 15 Decmber at the Wellsway Sports Centre in Keynsham near Bristol with the girls training from 11:30 until 14:30 and the boys training from 14:30 to 18:00. The cost will be £10 for girls and £12 for boys. The other training dates can be found on the SWVA calendar but the next one is 26 January (also at Wellsway). Players should arrive at least 15 minutes before their session starts to register, pay and change if necessary in order to start promptly. As well as their kit they will need to bring plenty of water and some snacks as it is a long session.
The address of the sport centre (which is in the grounds of Wellsway School) is Chandag Road, Keynsham, BS31 1PH. Note the slightly later start time compared to sessions in Exeter.
If you have not already done so please register – you only need to do this once for the season. If a player cannot attend a training session we would appreciate an email prior to the session to allow coaches to plan sessions based on an expected number of attendees. In addition players should bring a parental consent form (signed by a parent/guardian) to their first training session.
For those who have not yet experienced the inter-regional championships, it is worth watching the video from Jess Falkner-Ham about last year’s championships (and I am sure one or two others will enjoy it for the memories of the tournament).
The information provided on the consent form will be used for managing the squads with emails sent out prior to each training session and then frequent updates as we prepare for the Inter-Regional Championships. The website registration is used by the SWVA for communications and provides data for insurance purposes.
If you wish to buy one of the training tops then these are available from the SWVA shop (note that these are the same tops as last year).
