Volleyball England affiliations for clubs, coaches and referees for the 2018/19 season will open next week.
Launching on Wednesday (1st August), there are lots of benefits to each of the membership packages, including a host of great new perks for this season!
As Volleyball England strives to engage more with its members and develop the services it offers, guides to being a registered club, coach and referee are available so you can see just how much membership will benefit you.
Underlining this commitment, membership for junior and schools’ clubs is now free! This saves junior and schools £40 from last season and shows how Volleyball England wants to help inspire more young people to fall in love with the game.
“Juniors are the life blood of our sport,” says Board member Freda Bussey and she is keen to see the membership package for these clubs be further develop after this season. “We must offer something at the end of it and take care to tailor the membership package for schools and junior clubs’ needs.”
Membership 2018-19
With the new benefits, affiliations are still great value with prices for the clubs being £92 for this year, while coaches and referee registrations will cost just £41 (half price for concessions).
One of the key benefits of membership is insurance cover up to the value of £5m for coaches, referees and clubs. From this year, the cover will be provided by Sports Insure and there will be a brand-new portal on the Volleyball England website, making it easier for members to manage their cover. Through the insurance package, Volleyball England members will also gain access to excellent discounts and offers at leading high street brands.
As well as insurance, the benefits of registration also include:
- Resources to help with development of clubs, coaches and officials
- Eligibility for Volleyball England competitions
- Access to training resources for coaches and officials
- Fully-funded DBS checks for eligible club members (worth £10.50 each)
- Member newsletters
- Exclusive conferences and awards for members
- Discounts on equipment, kit and services, from Volleyball England’s shop and partners
