Insurance Update

Back in November we raised an issue with new coaches now appearing to requiring three years of recorded history? VE have now got back to me with an update on this, it appears that our insurance company had supplied and publish the wrong information.

The VE insurance portal web site has now been update (as of Sunday). Ref: www.sports-insure.co.uk/client/Volleyball-England-Policy-Schedule.pdf

The wording is now:

“Multi Sport Coaching Condition
In respect of all coaches, they must be suitably qualified to coach the sport in question. If this conditions is not complied with, the policy coverage will not be operative.”

This does mean that Level One Coaches with appropriate experience are covered to lead sessions, if recognized by your venue or hoist. I suspect School’s and Council venues will still require Level Two as they do with other sports.
