Top of our list is the SW Championships in Plymouth next weekend (6/7th May) for our annual event to find the top teams in the Region.
Last weekend was the Junior Squad selection weekend for our SW Junior U14 & U16 Girls and U15 & U17 Boys squads with Saturday training and a tournament match play session for the U16 Girls & U15 Boys on Sunday. More details below.

SW Champs 2017It’s that time of the year again when we find out who the top teams in the region are as we go head to head with our top SW, NL, BUCS, Local and Crown service teams for this years title and bragging rights. Twenty eight teams have entered this years event (6/7th May) from all corners of the region, Swansea from the North West, Guernsey flying in from the South, Cheltenham & Gloucester from the North and Royal Wootton Bassett from the East to name a few. New this year and weather permitting, the Plymouth Speed Cage. ‘The Spike O Metre’ which measures how fast someone can spikes the ball.

SW Awards 2017The South West Volleyball Association appreciates the importance of volunteers in our sport and the huge contribution they make. The Annual Awards go a little way to recognise their contribution and we hope that clubs and members will nominate those who they believe have put in their time and energy to assure the future development of volleyball. All nominees for volunteer awards must be part of an affiliated club or association. Nominees for the coach or referee awards must be currently registered Volleyball England Coaches or Referees (or have recently retired from long standing registration / membership). Nominators must follow guidelines given below as well as providing any additional relevant information that may apply. The deadline for all nominations is 18th May 2017.
