Cardiff Celts VC are running a free junior coaching clinic on Sat March 28, 10am to 1pm at USW in Pontypridd (poster attached) in association and funded by Volleyball England as part of their Volleyball Futures Initiative in the SW regions.
Volleyball Beginners Coaching Clinic Poster
It is for both beginner players AND teachers/coaches and it is aimed at boys & girls age 8 to 14. The event is ALSO for teachers, coaches, etc to show/teach them how best to introduce the game of volleyball to beginners.
The aim is to support and encourage more schools, youth groups etc to be able to introduce volleyball to the children where they are. The lead coach is a volleyball England staff tutor. And he will be teaching the adults how to introduce the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun and game-like way.
The event is free to attend. It would be great if we could get as many interested parents, coaches and teachers as possible to this event. I would be very grateful if you could circulate it amongst your club members, local schools and anyone that you think might be interested. Please come yourself!
At the event I am keen to promote all the local Volleyball Clubs so that any children interested in playing more volleyball can join the club that is nearest to them and/or on a day that is convenient. It is not about Cardiff Celts solely promoting our junior sessions.
