We have decided to postpone the JuVoTo tournament on January 8th and will try to hold an additional event in Stroud later in the season.
The reasons behind the decision are:
- The general pandemic situation noting the increase in cases and tightening of restrictions everywhere but, at least for now, England;
- With the number and proximity of people, this has the potential to be a spreader event where the consequences, cases plus school absences, outweigh the benefit;
- Avoid exposing the club volunteers to the risk, assuming they will still be happy to attend;
- The venue asked for an early notification of a change given that one week now is a holiday period.
I appreciate that this news will be disappointing for the juniors wanting to take part but it feels like the sensible decision in order to provide some certainty.
