Junior King and Queen of the Beach – Croyde, North Devon

Players came from as far as London, Cardiff and Taunton and joined many local players. Weather conditions meant it was held on the Green in Croyde on their fabulous beach courts. The Event was limited to 12 boys and 12 girls.

Play started just before 10am and concluded around 4 pm with each of the players playing in pools of 4. It’s a great format where you get to play with each of the other competitors, amassing points as you go and progressing through different pools.

The girls final came down to the duel between Kaja Jankowska (Taunton) and Holly Lovell-Fox with a final score of 15-11, Kaja was crowned Junior Queen of the Beach.

The boys final was very tight with Dan Huggins (Lee) coming back from 16-20 down to win 23-21 over Kike Bello (London) to become Junior King of the Beach.
