Petroc Volleyball Club in North Devon has been successful in their application for a Young Official Award grant.
The course will be based around the u13’s & u15’s 4-a-side schools championship, run by the local school games organisers based in local Devon schools. Looking to invite 4 students from the 9 secondary schools located in the SSP to ensure wide spread delivery and knowledge of Volleyball officiating across all of our community schools. The course will be held in Petroc College Sports Hall at the start of the autumn term.
Volleyball is a strong sport and very well populated within the college and local communities and therefore a natural exit route for some of our players.
As well as including school year’s 9, 10 and 11’s. Petroc college foundation degree students and year 11’s of local schools would referee at the North Devon and Devon u15’s championships in November ’13. Likewise, School Year 9 and 10 would then referee North Devon and Devon u13’s championships on March/ April ’14.
