Nominations for selection to the World University Beach Volleyball Championships are now open.
The competition, which is being held in Parnu, Estonia from 13-17 July 2016, will feature up to 64 teams from across the globe.
Adi Fawcett, talent manager for Volleyball England, said it was a fantastic opportunity for aspiring athletes to compete at a world class competition.
“We are delighted to be able to send a team to the World University Beach Volleyball Championships,” she said. “This is an excellent opportunity for students to put themselves forward to take part in a high level competition.
“We would encourage any eligible players to nominate themselves for selection.”
Final selections will take place following a series of selection-based training and preparation events. Athletes who are selected from the nomination stage will be expected to attend.
“The British squad will be made up of two teams per gender,” said Adi. “This is a key event on the young senior England talent pathway programme, which is supported by TASS and Sport England.”
