Super 8s All-Star Game

This exciting new volleyball event is the result of a collaboration between SideOut Ltd, Volley First Ltd, Your Student Body Ltd and Great Britain 2012 Olympians Nathan French and Peter Bakare, who have all teamed up to make this event a reality. Special thanks are also due to Volleyball England for their support of the event.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support the Official Charity Partners of the Super 8s All-Star Game, Action For Kids, as well as to raise funds for volleyball in England.

The main event of the day will be two showcase matches featuring the top players in the men’s and women’s Super 8s division of the National Volleyball League, with the British All-Stars going head-to-head with the International All-Stars. These two matches will undoubtedly showcase a level of play that has not been seen on domestic soil since the 2012 Olympic Games and will also be a reunion of sorts for many 2012 Olympians, who will be playing together for the first time since that magical fortnight at Earl’s Court Arena in the summer of 2012.

The day’s proceedings will also include a junior tournament, as well as plenty of other competitions and activities for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.

The All-Star teams will each be comprised of 14 players and the participating players have been decided through a public vote which attracted over 2500 votes and a vote of the Super 8s coaches.
