SW League Christmas Update

As we approach the Christmas break in the 2022/23 league season, we find Cheltenham & Gloucester just a head of last season champions Torexe in the Ladies league with 8 straight wins, and Bassett Royals and Exeter Storm not far behind in third & fourth.

Key players to look out for, C&G’s Iwina Hadamik and Sophie Batho for Torexe. Also making a name for themselves at the top of the POM table is Freya Astbury from PMVC and Bristol’s Annika Hermann.

In the Men’s division, Exeter Storm once again have a firm grip on the top spot with 8 out of 8 so far, Gloucester Eagles just behind in second place. Three teams on 18 points, Bristol VC, Weymouth Waves & PMVC round out the top five at this point in the season.

Players to look out for on court, Rafal Czarny for Gloucester with five POM nominations so far, followed by Archie King (Wiltshire), James Bibby (Yeovil), Karol Baginski (PMVC) & Matt Board (Weymouth Waves) all on four nominations.
