Home Nation Junior Beach Cup 2018Cardiff Beach Volleyball Centre will welcome some of the finest junior beach volleyball talent next week, as the rising stars of the sport battle it out for national pride and glory at the Home Nations Junior Beach Volleyball Cup 2018! It all kicks off on Monday with a good number of SW juniors taking part for England and Wales. The three days of action starts at 11:00, you can keep up to date with the action, results, scores and live video feed at www.Inter-Beach.net Each Team consists of two pairs of teams, Pair #1 and Pair #2. Pair #1 play against Pair #1 from another team and the same goes for Pair #2. After these two team matches, there will be a team score of either 2-0 or 1-1. If a team has won 2-0, they have won the round. If there is a 1-1 draw in matches then the team must play a tie-breaker ‘Golden Match’ where the team coach can choose any two of the four team players to represent the team. Taking part this year:

My 2017 IRC Experience – Tom Falkner HamEach year we ask a number of our youngsters to report back on their SW IRC experience, today we focus on Tom Falkner Ham (SW No 10) from our U17 Boy’s Squad. – – – – I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the South West Squad at the inter regionals this year. This was my 3rd year of playing at the inter regionals competition in Kettering. The atmosphere at the inter regionals is absolutely great! There are many spectators who come and support the different teams from different regions of England. The inter regionals competition is the tournament I look forward to every year. The standard is very mixed, from beginners, to advanced players who play for the National team. The accommodation at Kettering is brilliant. We stay one night at the Holiday Inn in Kettering and its great! The rooms are perfect and we get a big buffet for breakfast before the competition. We played on the Sunday and finished on the Monday. This year we got to the finals of the inter regionals out of 8 teams. Unfortunately we lost against West Midlands so we came second overall. Many thanks for the people who came over and supported the competition and big thanks to Ben and Dave for coaching us. I have put together a highlights video of the weekend, thought it would be something unique! Video Link (in case it’s not displayed below): IRC-2018 Video Tom Falkner Ham |
