Heavitree Parklife Grass Tournament – Exeter Saturday 30th June

Following its successful inauguration event last year, the Parklife Heavitree grass tournament returns on Saturday 30th June. Once again it will combine with the Sports in the Park event, which has events from Exeter Chiefs rugby and Exeter City Football amongst several others, so there will be plenty going on during the afternoon.

We are hoping to expand the event from last year and offering an early bird discount to those entering before 30th May.

2018 Parklife Heavitree entry form

For those of you based in the Exeter area there will also be some Saturday pop-up volleyball sessions before the tournament on 9th, 16th and 23rd June from 2 to 4 pm. Keep an eye on the facebook page Heavitree Volleyball for more details.

Hopefully we will have as great weather as we had last year!

Whitefield Volleyball Tournament 2018

The Premier UK Volleyball Tournament

The Whitefield Volleyball Tournament is the largest volleyball tournament in the UK and will return to the South Bristol Sports Centre on the weekend of July 21/22.

The tournament attracts nearly 140 teams from all over the country and it is so popular that most divisions are full within a few days of the entries opening in April each year. There are still a few spaces left for teams who would like to join us, but please be quick in getting your entries in. You can enter online at: http://whitefield.cbvc.org.uk/

Matches take place on the Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 to late afternoon, with finals for each of the 11 mens / mixed / womens divisions taking place on Sunday afternoon. Teams will play about 8 matches over the weekend with the standard varying from local / regional league standard to top national league standard.

While the matches are competitive, the atmosphere is friendly and there will be lots of family groups playing or just watching. Many teams have been attending for 20 / 30 years.

The tournament is organised by the City of Bristol Volleyball Club with the organisers planning for the event from November to July each year. It is hard work to organise, but the reward is in seeing such a large number of people of all ages enjoying the matches and the social gatherings that the tournament affords.

Spectators are very welcome to come along and watch the matches and see the wonderful spectacle for themselves.

Tenby Beach 2018

We have changed the format this year, due to demand – there will be a MIXED 2’s EVENT ON SATURDAY and a single gender pairs – MENS 2’s AND LADIES 2’s on the SUNDAY

We have also included a MIXED 4’s tournament that will run for both days.

That means YOU CANNOT ENTER ANY OF THE 2’s COMPETITIONS IF YOU ARE ENTERING THE 4’s…AND VICE VERSA.

Return your TENBY Beach 2018 ENTRY FORM to me and an acknowledgement that your entry fee has been submitted and successful through our tournament BACS info on the form.

We will confirm entry from that, as well as send you more info.

Many thanks
