Conference launched to aid club development

Are you part of running a volleyball club? If so, then a brand-new initiative could help take your club to the next level.

Volleyball England is launching the Club Conference 2019, an event featuring a host of exclusive workshops on different areas of volleyball club development. Taking place on Saturday 27th July 2019, the inaugural Club Conference will give clubs chance to gain advice from professionals from the volleyball community and also includes a buffet lunch. You can book your place now.

“The inspiration for the Club Conference has come from the results of the Club Survey 2018, in which there were a range of areas where clubs said they would benefit from leading advice and support,” explained Volleyball England’s core market coordinator Rob Payne. “The event is a great chance for clubs to upskill, develop and network.”

There are three time slots throughout the day and attendees can choose which three they want to do from a choice of five different 50-minute workshops. A Time to Listen workshop – which provides essential training for Club Welfare Officers – will also run on the day. As this is a three-hour workshop, attendees will need to choose to take part in the Time to Listen, rather than the club development workshops.

So, the Club Conference is an ideal opportunity for several club members to come along to benefit from all of the workshops, while a Club Welfare Officer gains essential training through the Time to Listen workshop. Clubs which have three people attend can use a discount code to gain a reduced price on entry.
