Volleyball England is pleased to announce that the FIVB ‘Beach Get Involved’ Seminar will take place from the 26th May – 1st June 2014 at FIVB/CEV Regional Volleyball Development Centre – Kettering (ENG).
About the Seminar
The FIVB ‘Beach Get Involved’ seminar will give candidates industry-leading knowledge on beach volleyball skills, drills, organisation and participation development.
By the end of this seminar you should learn:
- Games, drills and techniques that are used in beach volleyball.
- How to increase participation and usage at beach volleyball venues.
- Knowledge of good practice through case studies.
- Insight and understanding in to the current trends and how these will affect the development of their beach venues going forward.
- How to organise and run a tournament and / or competition.
You will leave the 5 day seminar with exciting ideas to implement in your venues. This includes a number of opportunities to discuss the current work being carried out by each candidate in their area/country; allowing to identify challenges whilst using the experience of other attendees.
London 2012 Legacy Trip – Crystal Palace Beach Volleyball Centre
The course includes a visit to the London Legacy Beach Volleyball courts at Crystal Palace,London. The venue will be hosting a tournament featuring local teams with on site entertainment and food. The day will include the opportunity to see how well established centres operate and should give participants an idea of how to stimulate activity using promoted events.Crystal Palace also demonstrates how major sporting events can benefit the local community and create a long lasting legacy.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided by our partner Holiday Inn Express, a modern hotel set in landscaped gardens. Free Wi-Fi is available and a generous breakfast of cereals, pastries and fruit served each morning. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, Flat-screen TV, free tea and coffee and full air-conditioning.
